For example, references on your volunteer application may be checked for accuracy, or your veterinarian, landlord, parents, etc. may be contacted to ascertain whether you will be a responsible and loving caregiver if you apply to adopt a ferret.

Your personal information is never used for marketing purposes, unless you opt-in to receive our newsletter and occasional email notices of special events and fundraisers. Your personal information will not be sold or distributed unless required by law.
