February 9, 2024 - A vital piece of medical machinery, a portable x-ray unit, is available for the WFRS to purchase. With this machine, we could greatly reduce the time and cost of caring for ferrets in need.

The machine is $3,000; transport to get it to the shelter would cost approximately $550; and registry with the state is $195. We already have a volunteer ready and waiting to drive the nine-hour round trip.

But we don't have a lot of time to make this purchase - it's first come first serve - so we need your help fast!
