This move means WFRS will now have the ability to serve ALL of Western Washington — and beyond! Operating from the South Sound allows us to expand our partnerships with amazing supporters across Southern WA and Northern OR.

This is a milestone moment in our history — and one we couldn’t have reached without YOU. For three decades, we’ve worked tirelessly to care for, protect, and rehome thousands of ferrets in the North Sound. Now, we’re bringing that mission to the heart of the South Sound, with:

A larger facility (with central A/C!)
Improved spaces for animal care and adoptions
Easy access to both of our trusted veterinarian teams
Private space for our on-site Shelter Director
More community access than ever before!

We’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes sneak peeks, moving updates, and ways you can get involved in this exciting transition.

It’s a new era for WFRS — and it all starts now.
