November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month

November 2, 2023 - A ferret's lifespan is 6-10 years, so when they reach 3 years old, we consider them senior pets. The WFRS has plenty of adoptable senior ferrets we would love to introduce you to!

Bowie, a senior ferret

Baby ferrets are fun, but they have a lot of energy and can be tough to keep up with. Older ferrets are just as cute and playful, but by 3 they've gotten out a lot of their more dangerous habits - like trying to fly off your shoulder or climb as high as they can! They sleep a little longer too, giving you a little more time to yourself. And the best part is, when they're tired, a senior ferret is far more likely to snuggle with you!

Check out our adoption process and contact us to make an appointment to see a senior ferret today. We'd love to adopt to you.
