Giving Tuesday is November 28th, 2023

November 26, 2023 - Hello, all of you Friends of Ferrets:

We know as the holidays and the end of the year approaches, all the charities are asking for donations. And we know that you may be feeling donation fatigue – we get it. Unfortunately, the ferrets don't.

They still need to be cared for. We have had a record number of ferrets surrendered this year, and the shelter is grappling with higher costs, particularly of food, medicines and veterinary care. We are still all volunteers, and fundraising is not why we participate with WFRS; we are there to help the ferrets.

We have had several abuse cases come to us recently that have required extra resources. You may have read about one case, Sarge, who required intense care and is still under medical care. This is our mission, so we do whatever we can to save and help the ferrets who have come to us.

But we really do need your monetary support, and we would also be happy for you to join us as a volunteer or a foster parent. We will need people to help with educational outreach programs and many other assignments as we go forward. Please reach out to us and let us know how you can help us. Our email is washingtonferret@yahoo.com. We need all of you to keep WFRS open and caring for ferrets.

Tuesday, November 28 is Giving Tuesday, and you can donate through their portal: www.wagives.org

Or, please go to our website, www.washingtonferret.org, and click the donate button. Through your bank, you can send money directly with Zelle: search for Washington Ferret Rescue and it should link. Regular checks are also always appreciated: PO Box 5, Everett, WA 98206

However you can help us, the ferrets, and volunteers at the WFRS sincerely appreciate it!
